Internships

Spring 2024

FAFSA Team Member, Buffalo State University, Financial Aid Office/AmeriCorps.

As a team member, I experienced the changes and challenges associated with the rollout of the updated Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website.  I utilized the training provided to assist college-bound students and their families in completing the application, enabling them to understand the aid available to fund their higher education.  Additionally, I interacted with high school guidance counselors and other educators to learn about the challenges students face as they prepare for college.

Fall 2024

Intern, HESAA Department.

Under the direction of the Department Chair, Dr. Amy Wilson, I created alumni profiles for social media to engage alumni and current students and promote the Department's reach in higher education and allied fields. I organized a welcome-back celebration to encourage current and new students and professors to get to know one another as the new semester started. I also helped to promote a discussion between higher education/student affairs professionals about how they support student protests and maintain order on campus.

Spring 2025

Intern, Alpha Lambda Delta

Director Eileen Merberg asked me to help create a speakers series to showcase the organization's five pillars: academics, scholarships, service, career development, and belonging. I identified potential speakers to share their area of expertise with the membership. Since this is an international organization, arrangements tiwll be made to record discussions for later viewing on the ALD's YoutTube channel.
